Dear NYJCians
This is a last appeal to all NYJCians, past and present to do their part to save the name of NYJC before the SMC AGM in June or July this year. If the SMC decides that NYJC's name is to be changed, the name of NANYANG JUNIOR COLLEGE will vanish forever, replaced by an alien name known as Chung Cheng Junior College. I'm sure those who were there during friday of the J1 Level camp would have heard what song kwang and some graduate facilitators (including myself) share how much the name NYJC means to every single one of them. As i have said, NYJC to me is more than a name, it is a home to me, something that i hold dear to me. If Nanyang means something to you, my final appeal to you is to do something for the college, let us show that all the 'I's in NYJC can merge to form a powerful 'we'. what song kwang said was very true, our petition might not be useful, it might not even reach them, but as a NYJCian, if i did not do anything to change the name, then i am truely ashamed of myself. I appeal to u to stand up and be counted. if the name of NYJC is to be ended, I want the ending to be such a powerful ended that it is worthy of rememberance. I appeal to the Nanyang spirit that i mentioned when i spoke to the J1s on friday. i appeal to YOU, every single 'I's out there, to fight for the NY identity that you have formed. Let the NY spirit come alive and let's fight all the way for the Nanyang that WE hold dear in our hearts. Let this be the time when Nanyang truely roars! the time for talking is over, the time for actions have started! for graduated NYJCians, pls refer to the trend NYJC - CCJC thread
We are a group of concerned ex-students who wish to preserve the name of Nanyang Junior College and would like to ask for your support. for currently students, i'm starting a new petition for the current NYJC students. pls send me your name, contact no, email and comments on why u want the name of NYJC to remain. please help to send the info to all your friends in NYJCians(thru email, sms, CT groups, friendster bulletin and blogs), pls relay the info in whichever ways u can. i willi need all the help i can get from the current students. there is only so much i can do, ultimately, it is up to the students to take the initiative to participate. i need all of you to send in ASAP. wait no more!
